Student-Athlete Tutor

Since Fall 2023, I’ve held a part-time tutoring position at UMD, specifically supporting student-athletes in a variety of courses. With my Computer Engineering background, I mainly tutor students in math, science, and engineering. Gossett Hall serves as a dedicated place for student-athletes, where they communicate with advisors, tutors, and peers.

The tutoring sessions are scheduled weekly or accommodated on a drop-in basis. The hour-long session allows me to focus on reviewing past lectures and tackle current homework assignments. During times like midterms and finals, I collaborate with students to develop effective study plans and materials.

Beyond tutoring, I often provide advice on course selection and study strategies. My goal is to make sure that student-athletes succeed not only on the field but also in the classroom. I achieve this by working closely with both the students and the tutoring/advising team to meet their academic needs.
